Mandatory Meeting
This Tuesday, Oct. 19 we need everyone to show up at 6:00 pm at the stake center.
We will be having a meeting for parents and cast members about hair and makeup. Your child should have brought home a flier last week with this information.
We will also be rehearsing all of ACT II following that meeting.
As well, we are getting into running the entire show and we need everyone there for the remaining rehearsals-every Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 6:00 pm and Saturdays beginning at 9:00 am. If you cannot make it, we need an email telling us why and exactly when you'll be gone. It is getting down to crunch time and we really need every one's help and support!
We do appreciate everyone and all that you've been doing. Each of you make this musical the amazing experience that it is! Thank you!!!!

T-SHIRTS, ANYONE??
We are wondering if the cast, staff and orchestra members are interested in getting tshirts this year. We are required to order them through the company that R&H has contracted to do this.
To view the shirts, please go to www.stagepromotions.com/The_Sound_of_Music.html
We would order white shirts with the design shown on the website and they would have the names of all participants printed on the back. The cost would be $12 a shirt or $14 for size 2XL and up. It takes about 2 weeks to get them, so please respond and let us know who is interested!

Tuesday (Sept. 14) Rehearsal
Rehearsal for this Tuesday (Sept. 14) will be held at the GRANDVIEW building.
Address: 2930 S. 2000 E. It's the white church on 20th East.
Beginning at 7:00-we need everyone in Act I, sc. ix to be there. Please check below if you do not know if you're in this scene...(von Trapp children do NOT need to be there). (Maria we also need you there at 7:00)
Beginning at 8:00-we need all the nuns. We will be blocking scenes i, iii, and iv from Act I.
Also, the detailed rehearsal schedule and the group rehearsal schedule have been updated. Please take a look as some of the rehearsals have changed.
And, there are a couple of new links. I've had a few people say they don't know which scenes they're in so they don't know which rehearsals they need to attend.
The new link "Character List by Act and Scene" has each scene in the play with everyone who is in that scene. This should hopefully help you out.
If there are any questions, please email them to wilfordstakemusical@gmail.com

We have had several questions about parts for kids in The Sound of Music. Our vocal director, Dolores Huff, is helping us create a children's chorus for the show. We would love kids to try out for a part or for the chorus.

Great News
We finally got the rights for the musical. We'll be announcing it Monday, August 9th so stay tuned! We're really excited about this musical and think it's going to be a great opportunity for everyone who gets involved! Auditions dates will be posted soon. These dates will be announced in your wards as well! We look forward to hearing from you!!
6.17.2010
We have a musical that has been approved by the Stake Presidency. We have applied for the rights to put on the show and should hear back any day! We are thrilled that Jennifer Christensen has agreed to direct and that April Kimball will be the assistant director. We hope to have more details next week!
Just Getting Started
We are getting started with everything for the Wilford Stake Musical 2010. We're working on getting a musical approved by the stake. Once we have that and get the royalties for it, we can announce it and start getting everyone even more excited.
This is going to be a great opportunity and we encourage any of you who want to, to get involved!
See you at the show!
